Easter Weekend

Meet Lala and Poppa.

They are Doc's parents and we were lucky enough to have them join us for the Easter weekend. They arrived on Thursday before the kids joined us on Friday, so we were able to have a nice meal, just the four of us. And we got to use our fancy dishes for the first time ever.

It was nice to be able to sit and catch up with them before the weekend officially got started. Once the kids arrived, things were full steam ahead!

After dinner Friday night, we played a few games of Funglish - boys versus girls.  This game is a great way for the kids to get to work on using descriptive words, but its fun for all of us. You just choose different adjectives to try to get your opponents to guess the word you drew. Both teams were pretty good, but I think the boys ultimately came out ahead.

We could not have asked for better weather this weekend. It was so nice! We spent as much time outside as possible, just enjoying the warm sunshine.

Poppa cut back some of our plants...

...while Doc supervised.

Lala finished her book...

...and A jumped rope.

Even though it looks like Minnie's giving me the stink-eye here, I really think she enjoyed hanging out in the sunshine too.  You can see she had already spent a little bit of time rolling in the grass. Oh, the life of a dog.

And in case I look a little bit fatter the next time you see me, it's because we made cookies again. And I can't stop eating them.

Sunday was such a great day it deserves a whole post of its own, so check back for it soon!
