Train Trip: Day One

I asked Matt what I should call this series of posts since technically Day One doesn't even involve a train, and his suggestion was "You're Doing What?"  That's pretty much the response we got from anyone who hear us talking about this trip!

image.jpg

Day one started bright and early at Memphis International Airport and ended in San Fransisco by way of Minneapolis.

image.jpg

This was a trip we somewhat brainstormed together (read: I sent Matt a link to a blog post of someone who had done something similar and then he planned it.) but once we got it officially on the calendar, it became my birthday trip. I'm totally ok with that because Matt keeps pulling out birthday cards that have surprises in them!  My first card treated me to a manicure during our layover in Minneapolis. Super exciting since I was bummed I hadn't had time to get one before we left. And Xpress Spa did better than I Xpected them to.

Ready to board flight #2 for the day! Also, pretty sleepy.

Our first view of San Fransisco, made possible by our window mate taking a bathroom break.

Our taxi driver from the airport to the hotel loved his car horn. And did not love the car in front of him. Ever. At our hotel they upgraded us to a swanky room on the 20th floor (did they not know we were using points??) and we dropped our bags and headed out to make the best of our time. But not before taking a selfie on our massive balcony.

image.jpg

Laura, the hotel concierge, was amazing and pretty much mapped out our whole afternoon for us. We basically did a four mile loop from the Embarcadero area to Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square.  The first attraction was the Ferry Building that has a really cool food market inside of it.

Lots of selfies on this trip since we're by ourselfies.

image.jpg

They had a big flipping sign for all the ferry departures. This picture taken specially for my Dad and his southern pronunciation of Vallejo.

image.jpg

We didn't want to be rude and not buy anything so we shared an organic swirl ice cream cone. It was quite tasty.

image.jpg

From there, we walked and walked and walked. The breeze coming off the water was very cool, but the sun was beating down on us and we both worked up a sweat. We could see the Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill but opted to skip it. (That's the Transamerica Building on the right.)

image.jpg

Our next stop was at Pier 39 where we could look out over the water and see Alcatrez. I had really wanted to tour it but our flight didn't get in in time for us to catch the last ferry over. We'll have to come back!

image.jpg
Alcatrez behind us on the far right!

Pier 39 was also where we were first able to see the Golden Gate Bridge.  Thank goodness it wasn't too foggy!

image.jpg

We kept walking until we made it to the Boudin Bakery on Jefferson Street, another recommendation of Laura the concierge. It was really fun to get to watch them make the sourdough bread!

There are speakers that allow them to hear what you say so don't get caught talking bad about the baker!

They also had some pretty impressive bread animals - teddy bears, crabs, and an enormous alligator.

Maybe it baked too long? Baby alligator on top!

Following the map Laura drew out for us, our next stop was the beach at San Fransisco Bay. Totally counts as the Pacific Ocean, right? Same water?

image.jpg

My feet were dying to get some fresh air from the wool socks and boots I was walking around in, so I was more than happy to kick off my shoes to dip my toes in the water.

image.jpg

Way out there in the water we could see the Golden Gate Bridge again.

image.jpg

My feet were good and sandy so it was a good thing there was a lush green park for me to walk through to let the grass clean em up.

image.jpg

I was super bummed to learn that the Ghiradelli Factory doesn't actually make chocolate anymore. They still sell it but we didn't see anything different from what we can buy in the check-out line at Michaels, so we left empty handed.

image.jpg

We stopped at a nice restaurant for drinks and appetizers but I have no pictures to prove it. I don't even know what it was called! It had a spectacular view of the bay though.

We made an on the spot decision to skip Lombard street after eyeing the steep hill we'd have to climb up to get there. Maybe next time.

The second half of our 4 mile loop took us through Little Italy where we stopped for wine (Bellini for me!), calamari, and really tasty tiramisu.

image.jpg

By the time we made it to Chinatown, most shops had already closed for the evening. Not a huge loss since I don't really get the appeal of Chinatown. Maybe I need someone (Mom) to show me how to shop there.

The last stop of the day was at CVS to get snacks for the train ride. With a bag full of crackers, granola bars, drinks, and candy, we called it a day on San Fran and went back to our room.

Probably one of my favorites parts of the day was hanging out on our balcony when we got back. We were surrounded by office buildings and had so much fun being nosy and watching people still working in their offices. I was secretly hoping to catch a late night office romance, but the janitor emptying the trash and vacuuming was about as exciting as it got.

image.jpg

The lights on the Bay Bridge looked great from our balcony!

image.jpg

The picture below was actually taken the next morning when we got up since it was still dark outside.   Doesn't the sunrise look so pretty behind that building?!

image.jpg

I'm pretty dang proud of us for making it so late - midnight our time! - after getting up at 4am and being on the go all day long. I definitely feel like we got a lot out of our short time there, but I'm also pretty sure I need to go back to see and do everything we missed!

Interesting tidbit of the day: Thanks to an abundance of herrings and a lack or white sharks and orcas, the San Fransisco bay has a ton of sea lions at Pier 39.  Boats used to park there but there were so many sea lions that they eventually moved the boat parking elsewhere and let the sea lions have the dock. The weight of the lounging sea lions eventually sank the original dock so they rebuilt smaller ones that rise and dip with the tide for the animals.  The sea lions are mostly males and some stay at the Pier year round. They were fun to see all piled up on the floats and to hear them barking, but they sure did smell! I'm sure not nearly as bad as they do in the summer when it's much hotter outside.

One last note: My plan on this 7-day adventure was to blog each day about the day prior. The worst part of the train ride has been that I realized we don't have Wifi like I was expecting. So this post was typed with my thumbs on my phone. It takes a bit longer and isn't as easy to do so I can't promise I'll get one posted every day. Also, since I can't do links or anything like that on my phone I'll do a big wrap up post when we get back home that has all the details of the train and our route, etc. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments of these posts and I'll answer them in my final post about the trip!

Book-Themed Baby Shower

I have had the pictures uploaded, resized, and ready to go for this post for over a week now, but I keep avoiding writing it.  Case in point: I wrote the previous sentence two days ago and then Xed out of the window and walked away.  I think I'm avoiding writing this because our Book-Themed Baby Shower was SO cute and so, SO fun but my pictures are pretty terrible.  And there are hardly any of them.  It was a Pinterest party without the Pinterest photographer.

Of course I didn't take a picture of the invitation, but we have to start with it because it was so stinkin' cute.  Maybe one of my favorites.  I get absolutely no credit for it whatsoever except for finding it on etsy.  It came from Merrily Designs and the picture of the invitation below is one I stole from her shop - all credit is hers.

The library card alone is super cute and fit perfectly with our book theme, but it's the tiny details in this invitation that I really loved.  Like, that the card catalog number was the Mom's due date.  Clever!  And that the red circle around the note to bring a book instead of a card really looked like someone took a red marker to it.  But my very favorite detail was that the two names marked out in black (also very realistic looking) were the parents of both the mom- and dad-to-be with their birthdays beside it.  So it looked like their parents had checked out this same "book" right before they were each born!

My friend Catherine and I were cohosts for this shower and we chose the book theme after Casey (the honoree) said she was obsessing over all the children's books.  It was a no brainer, really.  I took to Pinterest to hunt for some ideas only to find that this very theme had been done before.  Like, a hundred times.  Oh well.  That only made it easier on us because we could copy ideas!  This post from Craftiness Is Not Optional was incredibly helpful because she provided FREE printables.  And they were adorable and required no work from me other than to print them.  I LOVE that.

So with each invitation that we mailed out, I included this cute bookplate that I printed from the Craftiness Is Not Optional blog.  This picture is also stolen from her post.  It was a great way for each guest to label their book because I'm sure Casey could not remember who gave what when she got home!

Because Casey was traveling in from out of town, this shower was in the evening.  I did have the forethought to snap a few quick pics earlier in the day while I still had a little bit of natural light.  The mantel was really easy to decorate - just add books!  Of course, there is a particular boy at my house that enjoys ripping covers and flaps off of books, so I had to really dig for books that still looked decent.  Luckily this shower was in January so all the books they'd received as Christmas gifts were still in good shape.  I also added a string of lights to add to the festiveness.

On the coffee table, I added a pouf of fabric (very Suess-ish, dontcha think?) with some Swedish Fish that were labled as "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Swedish Fish."  And it only made sense to have that book on display too.

The kitchen table had a simple centerpiece of flowers, a stack of books, and blocks spelling out the name of Casey's baby boy.

All of our food items were named after books!  And the complete menu was listed on a big stack of books as our centerpiece.

In case you can't read everything in the picture, we had:
--IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE (cookies, obvs)
--MADELINE's madeleines (found at Costco)
--GOODNIGHT MOON pies (homemade - marshmallow cream sandwiched between two 'nilla wafers and then dipped in chocoloate)
--GREEN EGGS AND HAM and cheese sandwiches (these, so delicious)
--JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH tart (this recipe - good, but will be better this summer with fresh peaches instead of frozen)
--THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR's fruit (fruit tray)
--CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM salad (chicken salad, made by my Mom, taste-tested by me)
--CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS (frozen meatballs in a crockpot with grape jelly and chili sauce)
--HEAD, SHOULDER, KNEES, AND melba TOESt (a bit of a stretch, but melba toast and crackers to go with the chicken salad)
--THIS LITTLE PIGGY in a blanket - (pigs in a blanket by my girl Sister Schubert)
--THE TALE OF PETER RABBIT's forbidden garden (veggie tray with dip)

Our menu items were chosen by a combination of food+book name combos we could come up with and books we owned between the two of us.  Some things were left off because they were too similar to other items (GO, cornDOG, GO! for example).  In the end, I think I had to purchase three books.  Just add 'em to our collection!

Here are pictures from the food table.  We displayed each book by its corresponding menu item.  The colors from our table decor were kept to a minimum since we knew the food and books would add lots of color.

We couldn't have all that food with nothing to drink, now could we?  Keeping with the book theme, we had BLUEBERRIES cocktails FOR SAL.  Specifically, blueberry mojitos.  And they were good.  :)

Another free printable that I used from the Craftiness Is Not Optional blog was this really cute alphabet book.  I printed a page for each letter of the alphabet and they were sized perfectly to fit in an 8x8 scrapbook (purchased at Michael's on sale).  Throughout the party, guests were invited (nee, ordered) to color a picture or two to represent different letters of the alphabet.  Mom and I had done a few in advance as examples.  Some of our guests were really great artists!  Others might not have gotten into it as much.  (Ahem, I'm looking at you, Jenny, Miss N is for Nothing.)

Here are Becca and Sara taking a break from their coloring.

And the aforementioned Jenny coloring in Catherine's beach ball.

Y'all, I'm not kidding, those two photos above are the only decent "people" shots I got.  Shame.  None of the glowing Mom-to-be with her belly bump.  (Well, none of her not mid-bite or mid-sentence and that's just not fair to her.)  None of me and Catherine as hostesses.  None of the honoree with her Mom, the soon-to-be grandmother.  All I have is a bird's eye view of everyone in my living room before Casey started opening gifts.

We had a small crowd which made the shower intimate and so fun.  There were lots of stories told and so, so many laughs!  These girls are friends from my college days and I didn't realize how much I had missed them!

I'm normally opposed to shower games but during my pinteresting, I found a couple trivia games that were too fun to pass on.  Probably because children's books are such a huge part of our lives right now!  Catherine and I quizzed our guests on two different topics.  She did "Alternate Book Titles" and they had to guess book titles from descriptions like "Emerald Yolky Food With Accompanying Pig Product" and "Unsightly Aquatic Bird."  Those were Green Eggs and Ham and The Ugly Duckling in case you couldn't figure them out.  My trivia game was about nursery rhymes and included questions like "What did Jack burn when he jumped over the candlestick?" and "How much wool did the black sheep have?" (Answers are his toe and three bags full.)

I hate that I didn't get a picture of our prize platter!  Quick story about Casey - in college, she kept a copy of Everyone Poops in her car and backseat passengers were invited to read it aloud on their journey.  Quite the ice breaker, I tell ya.  Obviously we had to work this book in to the party somehow!  So after we tallied up who had the most answers to our trivia questions, I carried out a tray of poop...raisinets, milk duds, hershey kisses, and mini twixes!  Sarah was the big winner so she got her own copy of Everyone Poops to take home...but not until after she read it aloud.  :)

We didn't let our other guests go home empty-handed.  Each left with two party favors - one was a bag of bookworms that I assembled and the other was a bookmark made by Catherine.  (The bookmark was another free printable from Craftiness Is Not Optional and this is her picture below since I forgot to take one of ours.)

For Casey, I ordered this book tote bag from Honey Bee Tees because it was perfect for her to carry all of her new books home in.  How could I not get it??

Like I mentioned earlier, we had such a good time together and I didn't realize how much I'd missed sitting around talking with this group of girls.  Someone else needs to have another baby so we can have an excuse to do it again!

One last note: this shower was held in January and Casey was due in April.  We should still be 6 weeks out from meeting Baby James but he actually made his big debut yesterday!!  Casey went into labor just a couple days shy of being 34 weeks.  After delivery, James was quickly whisked away to the NICU where I'm sure he'll have to spend several days until he is strong enough to go home.  Will you say a prayer that that happens sooner rather than later?  Pray that his lungs are fully developed so that he may breathe on his own and that he has a healthy appetite and likes to eat well.  And also, pray for Casey.  Can you imagine not getting to cradle your newborn son in your arms?  I cannot.  Let's hope she gets to cuddle with him soon!

Tie Challenge: Complete!

Well, here's another post that's long overdue.  I'm sure the Tie Challenge is long forgotten for most of you!  So here's a brief recap:

  • Matt has a lot of ties.
  • His tie rack broke and kept falling off, spewing ties all over our closet.
  • We decided to count just how many there are, one day at a time.

I'm not certain, but I think we started keeping up with his daily neck wear at the end of September.  And yes, we have a picture from everyday to prove it!  I would say 92% of these pictures were taken before 7am, which means I (the chosen photographer) was still half asleep.  In fact, flipping on the overhead light in our bedroom to take the picture was usually a rude awakening.  The other 8% were either taken in the evenings or by Matt himself while he was traveling for business.  Highlights from the pictures include one sleeveless day after a lost bet at work, two bow ties, and one cameo from Thomas.

If you'd rather not click through the carousel of pictures above, here is a quick video of Matt in all of his ties.

So just how many does he have?!?

First, let's see what you all guessed:
Allyson H - 62
Jill L - 72
Marcia S - 88
Erin S - 74
Patricia E - 102
Allison C - 96
Bill E - 93
Catherine C - 90

Before I even started writing this post or even looked back to see the comments, Matt and I decided the prize would be a $25 Amazon gift card.  Nothing too exciting, but if you're like us, there's always something in your cart on Amazon.com.  :)

And if you'll remember from the original post, Matt was very confident that he'd be wearing his [tacky] Christmas tie on Christmas Eve just like every other year...

Well, the joke was on him when he got down to his final tie and it was only December 21st!  Not really a big deal since it was the week of Christmas (and not, say, Thanksgiving) but he definitely overestimated how long he thought his ties would drag out.  The weirdest part was deciding which tie to wear on December 22nd since all of them were available again and he'd already worn his Christmas one!

After counting up all the pictures, and confirming with number of ties in the closet, the final tally came in at SEVENTY-TWO ties!!  And that makes the winner of the gift card Jill with a perfect guess!  Congrats, Jill...we'll get your gift card to you soon!

Thank you all for playing.  We'll think of some other ridiculous contest to do again soon.  :)

Gallery Grid

I'm back with another home project that is about a year overdue!  Technically, this one was just completed about three weeks ago, but I dreamed it up and received the frames for it for Christmas 2014.  Talk about dragging my feet!

Here was one huge holdup: I knew the project was going to take a LOT of frames, I just didn't know exactly how many.  And when you're using a LOT of frames, you need them to be pretty cheap...if you want to also buy groceries for the month.  I found the perfect solution from Ikea - their line of Ribba frames where the 5x7 ones ring up at a whopping $2.99 a piece.  Although I think they used to be just $1.99 apiece.

So my Mom (and Dad, technically) gave me 20 of them for Christmas to get me started.  A month or so later, I finally sat down to figure up my grid and decided I would need 50 frames total.  Here's where the holdup comes in - I got on Ikea.com to order the remaining 30 and they were gone!  No longer available.  Whomp, whomp.

True story - Amazon was selling the exact same frames for about $11 bucks each.  No way was I going to pay that when I knew they were really only $2, and I needed 30 more of them!  I emailed Ikea to see if they were temporarily out of stock or if they'd never have them again, and they told me the manufacturer wasn't going to be making them anymore.  (Which is bogus since I just found them on their website today, but whatevs.)

I was pretty bummed out.  What was I going to do with those 20 frames since I was dead set on all the ones for this project matching?  (I guess I could've sold them for $10 each since that was cheaper than Amazon's price...)

Anyway, fast forward to April when Mom and I attended a conference in Atlanta and made our first Ikea visit ever.  We moseyed along looking at everything from cookware to bedding to storage racks to lamps.  When we rounded the corner to the wall art and frames section, guess what was the first thing to catch my eye?  Those dang $1.99 Ribba frames!!

I decided to forgo my frustration and hatred for their Customer Service telling me they'd never have them again and instead just be excited that I had found them!  I needed 30 more.  After pulling out every box of them and grabbing every one of them on display, I was able to get 25.  Close enough, I could make that work.  I put them all in my cart and texted Matt: "Gallery grid project is BACK ON!"  I can only imagine his excitement when reading that.

I didn't intend to write this much about this project...

It took me a while to get pictures printed so that delayed the project some.  Then I realized 3 of the 20 frames that had been shipped to Mom (to give to me for Christmas) had broken glass in them so I had to get those replaced.  Another hold up.

THEN, we could finally get started.  I hosted a baby shower at our house the last weekend of January so I used it as my motivation to get these frames up on the wall.  But you guys, the math.  Oh, the math involved with this!  So many fractions.  Thank goodness I married a nerdy numbers guy who likes that kind of stuff.  :)

Ready to finally get to the project?  The idea was to do a full floor to ceiling picture frame gallery on the wall between Anna's and Wyatt's rooms.  Except that I wanted it to be a grid...with the frames alternating between horizontal and vertical.  And of course all be evenly spaced on the wall, centered between the floor and ceiling.  No biggie, right?

Martin Luther King Jr. Day was the perfect opportunity to knock it out.  We were off work but the kids' daycare was open so we could send them there and have some work time without tiny helpers!  This project took place at the top of our stairs which is probably the hottest area in our entire house.  Especially when both of us are crammed into it on top of each other working closely together.  It was HOT!

First - double checking frame measurements.

Step two - finding the dead center of the wall and hanging our first picture frame bracket.  And testing for level, of course.

Ten-ish minutes later and the first row (of nine total) was done!  Never mind those sideways and upside down pictures...

We got into a good groove with our measuring and marking and worked our way up to the top in no time.  After testing the first two rows with the frames, we plowed through the rest of them with just hanging the anchors and crossed our fingers the spacing would be right!

Going down from the center was a little trickier; we had to adjust how we made our measurements.  Did I mention it was really warm up there?  And I was wearing fleece pants and two shirts?  So. Hot.  Matt took over for the bottom half.  In the picture below, you can kinda see how the anchors had to be staggered on each row to account for difference between the vertical frames and horizontal ones.  We were constantly asking ourselves, "Is this row three up and two down, or two up and three down?"

All the anchors were up which means the hard part was done!  BUT...would they be right when we set the frames over them?

They worked!

MLK Jr. Day selfie with our project complete.  (Well, mostly complete.)

Here is the "finished" gallery that day.  I knew I had less pictures then I did frames, but that was by design so that I can add new pictures as they're taken.  And one frame was still with the friend that was cutting my new glass for the three that arrived broken.

The frames can slide left and right on their anchors so we cut some small pieces of wood to use as spacers to make sure everything stays evenly spaced.  We'll keep those around since I'm sure they will need occasional adjusting.

By the end of the week, I had the missing frame back, new pieces of glass, and scrapbook paper in the empty frames until new pictures are printed for them.  (Sorry for the glares from the sun.)

And, in case you can't tell, these are all pictures of Anna and Wyatt!  Seemed fitting since this gallery grid is between their bedrooms.  For the most part, the left column is all pictures of Wyatt since that's his room, and the right column is pictures of Anna since that's near her room.  The three columns in the middle have pictures of the two of them together (with or without other people).

Here's a picture from down in the living room so you can understand where this gallery grid is.

IMG_3405.JPG

For those of you into numbers, we hung 45 picture frames in the grid.  And we used 2 nails to hold each frame's anchor to the wall.  So that's NINETY new holes we put into our dry wall that will have to be filled if/when I decided to take the frames down.  Yeesh!

But it looks good, right?  Totally worth the 90 holes.  For now.

January Phone Pics

I'll be honest here - these are my least favorite posts to write.  Mostly because there are always so many pictures to go through and the topics are just all over the place.  But, I'm of the mindset that if you don't post/print/publish/scrapbook the pictures you take, then what's the point of even taking them?  So I'm gonna give it another go this year with the monthly random phone picture posts.

Let's jump right in with my very favorite picture from the month.  This boy.  How am I ever supposed to take him seriously?!

He has some form of that hairstyle almost every single morning.  The poor fella does some sweating at night and lays all crazy like on his hair so it stands up all over.  I have to drench it with water in the morning to get it calmed down.

And now, the most exciting news from the month: our town got a Walmart Neighborhood Market!  I realize this is nothing worth writing about to you big city folks, but this is HUGE for us.  Yes, we've had a grocery store in our town but...we'll just leave it at the but.  :)  This store opening was so exciting that not only did we throw the kids in the car after dinner on a school night, but we also asked someone to take our picture in the parking lot with the sign behind us.  Small town livin', ya'll!

What else happened this month?  Katie Wynn's love for puzzles continued.  This set at my Mom's house is really cool.   It has lots of different professionals - chef, scuba diver, soldier, ballerina, fireman, wizard, doctor, etc - and each one is split into three pieces - feet, body, and head.  She is getting really good at matching them all up!

We took the kids skating one cold afternoon to get out of the house.  It was a big flop.  Katie Wynn wouldn't even put her skates on and Thomas...well, you can tell from the picture what he thought about it.  We may have a couple more years before we're all doing laps around the rink.  Matt and I had fun though!

Thomas kept a cold for most of the month and finally, on a Monday following a fevery weekend, I took him to the doctor to find out that he had bronchitis and possibly some pneumonia.  Oops.  Mom fail.  While I hated that he didn't feel well, I did enjoy the extra snuggles that I so rarely get these days.

One of Thomas's favorite toys is my curling iron.  Or my hair dryer.  Really anything from my bathroom drawer full of "gadgets."  I don't know why we bother buying him toys.

Katie Wynn is still building pillow houses for nap time and this month, I discovered that she's been tracing the letters of her name at school.  I was so impressed that she could do that (I had no idea she could!) that I  made her do it for us while out to dinner one night.

We went to our first birthday party at the Little Gym and while the kids shied away from the other party goers and party activities, they did have fun on the gym equipment.

Do you guys remember those little capsules you dissolve in water and they turn into sponge shapes?  When my brothers and I were little, we had a babysitter that always brought them with her (at least that's how I remember it, she probably only brought them once!) and it easily made her our favorite sitter.  I found them at Fred's and bought a pack for nostalgia's sake.  The kids liked watching them form in the warm water, even if it was hard not to reach in and touch them.

Thomas took a shower.  This is not unusual but I have to post these pics of him in the shower by himself, looking like he's up to no good!

IMG_1146.JPG

We returned to the Children's Museum for some Saturday morning fun.

I realize the picture on the right isn't very good since Katie Wynn walked into the frame, but look at Thomas's face while he's driving!

Daddy had help driving up the driveway.

Suckers after church...

Then their Daddy and I plucked them from their hands and snapped a pic before they realized they were gone!

We were gifted some beautiful weather on a Sunday afternoon so we hit up Mimi and Poppy's play set.  Bonus: they still had lots of leaves for playing in!

This is one my favorites from the month too.  "Mama, I'm weading my Bible to Thomas!"

Matt traveled some this month so we spent a couple nights at my parents' house.  Katie Wynn absolutely LOVED that I let her and Thomas sleep together.

Oh!  Matt and I worked in a date night.  That was fun.  We went to Ruth's Chris and had delicious steaks and crab cakes and lobster mac and cheese.  Here's a picture of Matt with his dessert.  No pic of me with mine (creme brulee!) but here's one of 17 of the exact same picture of me that Katie Wynn took with my phone.

And finally, just like every other month, I took lots of pictures of them in their Mint Tulip clothes.  I can get away with this since it's work related, right?

IMG_1271.JPG

I'll end here with the Valentine's Day clothes since that's a good lead-in to next month's phone pics.  I'm so lucky to call these two little squirts mine.  There are days when having two toddlers is tough and incredibly trying, but they also bring their Daddy and me so much joy and keep us laughing all the time.  I love them big!
