When I said I'd document this challenge, I didn't realize how many awful pictures of myself that would entail. Or how weird I'd feel taking pictures of myself in my bedroom everyday. Anywho... If you're just tuning in, you can read about my love affair with turtlenecks here.
Updated to add: Challenge complete! Read my final thoughts and see who won here.
Here's the shortened version of the rules:
1. One turtleneck per day. No repeats.
2. All turtleneck varieties count.
3. No purchasing new turtlenecks.
Let's get to it! (Scroll to the bottom if you want to start at Day One.)
Day Twenty-Nine:
Another Monday, another turtleneck.
Day Twenty-Eight:
Going to church, wearing a turtleneck with a bow! It's sleeveless, though...had to add a cardigan.
Day Twenty-Seven:
Saturday afternoon - headed to work in the woodshop.
Day Twenty-Six:
I am so thankful for casual Fridays at work.
Day Twenty-Five:
Just another day at work.
Day Twenty-Four:
Freezing cold in short-sleeves, but a challenge is a challenge.
Day Twenty-Three:
Headed to work and feeling like the end of the turtlenecks is close.
Day Twenty-Two:
Back to work after a three-day weekend.
Day Twenty-One:
Going to church. Even though you can see my neck, Doc and I (and my mom, too) both agreed that this still counted as a turtleneck.
Day Twenty:
Lazy Saturday, oh how I love thee. Spent most of the day in my turtleneck and curled up under a blanket and watching tv.
Day Nineteen:
Day off work, headed out with Doc to finish up our Christmas shopping.
Day Eighteen:
With this sweater over my turtleneck, there's no way I'm going to get cold.
Day Seventeen:
Hump day! And what you can't see in this picture is that I'm sporting some cute new shoes.
Day Sixteen:
Work again.
Day Fifteen:
Monday, monday. Back to work, and sporting my volunteer sticker so I could dress casual.
Day Fourteen:
Shop Sale day! But first, church.
Day Thirteen:
Up and at 'em early to brave the cold and cheer on Doc as he runs the half marathon.
Day Twelve:
6pm, ready to hang out by the fire with Doc and his parents.
Day Eleven:
Going to work. Trying to switch it up a little with a scarf.
Day Ten:
Headed to work and starting to feel like I have a daily uniform: dress pants, turtleneck, long necklace. Luckily, no one at work has said anything yet.
Day Nine:
Work, work, work.
Day Eight:
Back to work after the long weekend.
Day Seven:
Sunday morning, headed to church.
Day Six:
7 pm, fresh out of the shower.
Day Five:
Headed to the woodshop to do more work, once again without a shower.
Day Four:
Thanksgiving morning, trying to squeeze in some woodwork before the big meal. (The awkward arms are supposed to be a distraction from my lack of shower and makeup.)
Day Three:
Headed to work - casual day!
Day Two:
Headed to work.
Day One:
8 am, ready to leave for work.
